Horoscopes

Hi guys... I was writing another post, but this one needs to happen now, otherwise I'll forget.

So, I was bumming around facebook (having already used up the rest of my internet hangouts) and my friends horoscope came up. She reads them as a joke (or so she says) but I bet her that I could write better horoscopes. So here they are, Rebecca: (Note, I originally wrote these in Italian [School project] so excuse the english).

Aries: You will run into an old friend today, but be careful, because to much delay may cost you something valuable.
Taurus: Enjoy good food and wine in moderation. A little exercise could be a good thing.
Gemini: You will be lucky, and then come close to death today. Take risks and be careful.
Cancer: You have made choices and now you have to live with them. Try not to blame others for the result.
Leo: Check your need to take charge. Others will appreciate you more if they have the chance to shine.
Virgo: Relax and enjoy the moment. A missed opportunity can be hard to retrieve.
Libra: Do not over think choices. You'll never make a decision. Trust your instincts to lead you down the right path, unless that path is plaid socks.
Scorpio: Check your sarcasm. It may hurt the feelings of a friend or colleague unintentionally.
Sagittarius: Your charm and intelligence can lead to trouble. Try not to make decisions that you'll regret later.
Capricorn: Your confidence and enthusiasm may be hard to tolerate. You'll get better results by guiding than by pushing.
Aquarius: Don't bite the hand that feeds you. If it stops, you'll be in more trouble than ever before.
Pisces: Your contradictory nature can be annoying. Don't always take the opposite position just because you can. Only argue things that you feel strongly about.

So, which are you? How do my horoscopes match the kind of day you've had? Seriously, if you ever need a horoscope, you know where to find me. Better than facebook.

How I'm going

Okie doke. I'm having a great time with my brother. I just thought I'd fill you in on our adventures. It's been interesting doing all the touristy stuff again. My family is originally from rural victoria, but I live in inner city Melbourne. We've been to the eureka tower, made a trip to the botanic garden, and see a couple of shows etc. at the arts centre. I've been kind of worried about him sleeping on my couch, not only because it's uncomfortable, but because I think the actual sofa may die soon if it keeps suffering such punishment. It's pretty old, so i'm considering buying a new one. This is a big deal for me, since money is kind of hard to come by when you're a student. So, I took my brother sofa shopping (for a second opinion) and I was kind of frightened. Have you ever been sofa shopping? It's scary shit. So many seats, I really didn't know where to start. You may think I'm exaggerating, but I've never done this before, so believe me when I say that I never want to do it again. I Spoke to the sales assistant about my price range, and the pointed me at the back of the store. I had a look around and saw a few that I kind of liked, but nothing to really suit my decor(that was a joke, of course). I almost bought one that I just sank into. I didn't want to leave it. But then I thought about the fact that I usually eat dinner on it, so sinking may not be desirable. But I may go back and buy it tomorrow. I really did like it. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how I was going, since I probably won't update again before my big adventure. I promise to take lots of photos. Give me a buzz if you're in sydney this weekend!

My Brother and Harry Potter.

Hiya all. I'm super excited because my 17 year old brother is coming to stay with me tomorrow morning until friday! I've already made the couch his bed, which has totally limited the amount of space I get to sit down, but it doesn't matter!

Why am I so very excited about seeing my brother? Well, even though I get to see my parents and him almost once a week, I never really get to spend quality time with him, since I really only go for dinner. The one time a year I stay for more than one night is Christmas, which is just so hectic, we still don't spend much time together.

But a few weeks ago, my parents decided that since I was getting more responsible (I've lived on my own for a whole year!) that I should be able to take care of my baby brother for a few days. Now is his first time seeing my house, so I have tons of stuff planned.

My brother is amazing. We never really fought when we were younger, so now he's like my best friend. He is sportier than me, but aside from that, we're almost identical (except that he's shorter than me, but that's not hard).

We used to happily do everything together. People mistook us for twins, and geez did we milk it. The cafe near our school had a 'twin special' (I know, it sounds like I'm kidding). It was 2 coffees, 2 slices of cake, and 2 ice creams (in summer). It was $8 for the normal people, but if you were twins (or looked like twins) it was $5. Just because the cafe was run by twin brothers.

After my brother leaves, I'm going to the Harry Potter Exhibition with one of my best friends (and ex-boyfriend) Jae. He is my absolute best friend in the worlds brother, but is also the only ex that I've kept the 'let's stay friends' promise to. Just because he's fantastic.

Anyway, we're driving up to Sydney (The exhibitions only Australian stop) and staying a few nights at some random hotel. I am surprised that Shakespeare isn't the least bit concerned, but he knows that I would get back together with Jae unless he was the last guy on the planet (I have already received his blessing in case of a zombie apocalypse). So, I'm super excited about the whole rest of the week, basically.

I should go get some sleep, seeing how it's 2 oclock in the morning now and my spelling and grammar are starting to suffer. Night all!

Traffic Sources

Okay, I have some of the most random traffic sources ever. Some places I've never even been. www.blogobo.com (or something like that). So, could you tell me how you found me? That would be good, because I am really confused. I got linked from a place in a different language once. I need help.

If you're from VS, don't worry about it (unless you want to) because I know you. You're my internet friends. Funny how I have more internet friends than real life friends.

Making another post later, I just wanted to ask.

Blog Resolutions

Okay, so I was talking to Shakespeare, and he was all like 'you should make a new years resolution, it's fun'. His was to spend less time in front of the computer, but he has the excuse that he's an IT guy, so less doesn't mean the same thing to him. But anyway, I kept saying no, and he wouldn't give up. He finally compromised and said I should make a Blog Resolution. I kind of liked that idea, so I made one.

My Blog Resolution is (drum roll) to post at least twice a month. It should be pretty easy, since I have only had one month ever where didn't meet this goal already.

Also, I fiddled with MS paint! Look, then I'll tell the story.
I was hanging out with one of Shakespeares friends, and his girlfriend was taking forever to get ready. He asked me why chics take so long to get dressed when guys can do it in 5 minutes. I drew him this, and now it's his desktop background. Mine too, since I really like it. But I want your opinion. Should I add drawings to my blog? They don't have to be good, and I think that I could have more stories if I'm able to illustrate. But I want to know what my reader thinks. :).

New Years Eve

Happy New Year, everyone!

I had an awesome end to 2011. I woke up and decided to write down all the things that I've achieved this year. That was depressing, since I really hadn't done much, except gotten into university. Did I tell you guys about that (why did I just think that 'about' started with a w?)? Any way, we'll talk about that later.

So then, I went back and looked through my blog. That was less depressing, because I got to remember all the things that I've told you guys about. Bronchitis, Shakespeare and his medicine. Wow, That was sad. That was all I could thing of.

So, after that, I went to a New Years Eve party. It was a pool party. Let me give you the details of the night:
Shakespeare and I turned up to the party, half an hour late. I had just thrown some clothes over my bathers, but Shakespeare had to be all well dressed, so he took ages to get ready. When we got there, everyone was already either in the pool or drinking. Now, I don't drink (well, I have the occasional glass of champagne or whatever), and since basically the one rule at this persons house is you don't get to swim if you've been drinking. So I spent the whole night in the pool. Shakespeare was hanging around by the pool catching up with people, but then I dragged him into the pool (literally, clothes and all) and then he had to swim with me. Then got out of the pool at about 11 o'clock to 'socialise' (which means me looking awkward while Shakespeare acts all socially competent), then, at midnight, I jumped in the pool while Shakespeare laughed at me and everyone else drank champagne. I spent the rest of the night dancing and looking stupid. I also reenacted the fireworks display for the people who missed it (it's probably on youtube by now).

I didn't get home until around 4 am, by which time I was so high on sugar and other peoples emotions (that's a thing I do) that I actually didn't get any sleep and have almost decided that I'm going to be nocturnal. The world is much more fun at night. Better stuff on TV, more of my American friends on the internet...

So, I hope you enjoyed me bragging about my New Years Eve as much as I enjoyed being a part of it. Nighty Night.
